Marion Triem Scholarship
to encourage careers in education

College scholarships for Amphi high school seniors The Foundation established the Marion Triem Scholarship in 2005 to reward and encourage students who plan to pursue careers in education. Ms. Triem taught at Amphi for over 30 years, helped found the Amphi Clothing Bank, and served for many years on the Foundation's Board of Directors.

A scholarship of $1,500 ($500 per student) is awarded annually to three graduating seniors from Amphi High School, Canyon del Oro (CDO), and Ironwood Ridge who have stated their intentions to pursue college-level studies in an education-related field. The scholarship may be applied to tuition, textbooks, student fees or other direct expenses at the two- or four-year college of their choice.

Recipients are selected on the recommendation of their principals and teachers and honored at their schools' awards ceremonies prior to graduation. Once they've enrolled and provided the Foundation with their student identification numbers, we will issue the checks to their respective college finance offices for deposit to their accounts.

Metro Auto Center Scholarship
for most improved academic performance

Mr. Tony Salem, owner of Metro Auto Center, endowed a scholarship in 2007 to reward two Amphi seniors who have demonstrated the most improved academic performance, as judged by their final GPA's and/or test scores, and thus the character, resolve and hard work that mark such efforts, in school and throughout one's life.

The scholarship of $2,000 ($1,000 per student) is awarded annually to one graduating senior from Amphi High School and one from Canyon del Oro (CDO) or Ironwood Ridge on a rotating basis. For example, having been awarded in 2007 to a senior from Ironwood Ridge, the scholarship will rotate next year to CDO. The scholarship may be applied to tuition, textbooks, student fees or other direct expenses at the two- or four-year college of their choice.

Recipients are selected on the recommendation of their principals and honored at their schools' awards ceremonies prior to graduation. Once they've enrolled and provided the Foundation with their student identification numbers, we will issue the checks to their respective college finance offices for deposit to their accounts.
