25th Anniversary Celebration

The 2008 - 2009 school year marks 25 years since the founding of the Amphitheater Public Schools Foundation in 1983. We're planning events to commemorate the occasion. Stay tuned for more information!

Bowl-A-Thon 2008

Nash Cat N' HatsSchool district personnel partied like it was 1983 (the year the Foundation began) at the annual Amphi Foundation Bowl-A-Thon held at Fiesta Lanes on September 26th. Twenty six teams representing individual schools and administrative departments donned their early-80’s finest, raised more than $3800.00 through donations and raffle ticket sales, and bowled together to support the Foundation.

Prizes were awarded to the following teams and individuals:

1st place team: Walker Wolves #1 – Robert Moore, Brian Donahue, Garrett Pierce, Tom Farley, and Amy Martinez 

2nd place team:  The Misfits (Technology Department) – Adam Dellos, John Hastings, Charlie Hastings, Kenny Minton, and Steve Frost 

1st place individual:  Garrett Pierce (Technology) with a score of 230 

2nd place individual:  Gary Chapman (Finance) with a score of 221 

Most spirited team:  Fast Times at Wetmore Center - Margaret Harris, Judy Clement, Heather Juarez, Connie McFarland, and William Stratton 

Best team costumes:  Flashdance from Nash Elementary School 

Best individual costume:  Judy Clement (Wetmore) 

Most enthusiastic individual:  Katie Grundy (Walker Elementary) 

Highest team fundraising:  Wetmore Senior Administrators 

Highest individual fundraising:  Heather Juarez (Wetmore)
