The 21st Century Classroom Initiative was developed with a grant from BHP Copper, Inc. and with matching funds raised by individual schools. The program provides teachers and students with durable technologies that will enhance learning, academic performance and acquisition of critical technological skills. In 2007, the Foundation purchased one SMART Board for every Amphi School and has provided matching funds for at least four more SMART Boards in each school.
The equipment provided through the 21st Century Classrooms Initiative impacts more that 16,000 students annually.
